2018 Grey Cup of Curling

The 2018 Grey Cup of Curling will take place at the Amherst Curling Club January 12-13-14, there will be a maximum of 24 teams playing with an Open Format (any combination of players accepted). Registration deadline is January 5, 2018 and includes Banquet, snacks and entertainment. Winners receive cash prizes (a minimum of $3200 will be given away), plus the winning team will get their names engraved on to the original Grey Cup.

2017 Youth Curling Program

The main emphasis of the Amherst Curling Club youth program is to provide opportunity to have fun while learning the fundamentals and etiquette of the sport of curling.

Registration for the 2017 Youth Program will take place at the Amherst Curling Club – Saturday, October 28th from 10:00 A.M. to noon

Blueberry Harvest Festival Beer Garden

We are again hosting the Amherst Blueberry Harvest Festival Beer Garden, and are working on the details. Therefore wanted to give everyone a heads up that a few weeks before the event we will start making calls to see who is available to help out either with the setup or with the event itself, so please mark the date on your calendar.

Last year the Amherst Curling Club decided to bring back the Grey Cup and started a new tradition with the Grey Cup of Curling Cashpiel. The 2017 Grey Cup of Curling will take place at the Amherst Curling Club January 13-14-15. Registration deadline is January 6, 2017. AMJ Campbell U21 Provincials – Results

Congratulations to the winners of the Under 21 Championships! Teams Clarke and Manuel will go on to represent Nova Scotia at the Canadian Junior Championships in Victoria BC on Jan. 21-29, 2017.

It was a great weekend of curling at the Amherst Curling Club for the 2017 Grey Cup Bonspiel, with many great match ups throughout the weekend.

Annual Sleigh Ride

Ride through the maple woods of Lower Maccan to the lodge where we will enjoy music & dancing, campfire with smores, and a hot meal (baked ham, scalloped potatoes, beans, tea & coffee with dessert). Weather permitting there will be opportunity for skating and we will draw to the button!!!Last year was a great time had by all so don’t hesitate to sign up, there is only room for 48 on the bus!!
