A very industrious group of curlers recently completed sixty feet of new walkway at the curling club. Looks great!

This month Barry and John will be hard at work putting in the ice for our 2018-19 season.

Curling IO – Curling On-line Registration

Have you registered with the new Curling IO application, an online web-based tool used to accept curler registrations and accept online payments? If not, here’s how:

The link below will take you to the curling IO site. Find the “leagues” page for the Amherst Curling Club.
https://amherst.curling.io/en/products

From there, login and create your curler profile.  After that, you can purchase memberships and lockers from the “products” page, and sign up for leagues from the “leagues” page.

Several curler profiles can be managed from one email account, making it convenient for youth and family curlers.

Fall General Meeting

The Amherst Curling Club’s Fall General Meeting will be held
at the Curling Club on Wednesday, October 10th at 7:00 pm.

2017 – 2018 Curling Membership

This year the Amherst Curling Club is providing an online curling registration service through the Curling.io website run by the Curling Canada Association.

The process is pretty straight forward, however we have included a few notes below that helps summarizes the process.

Create Your Curling Profile

The first thing you should do is create your profile, the site will ask you to provide your email so it can send you a secure link that you can use to create an account.

Click here to create a profile. You will be required you provide some key information such as Date of birth, Contact information, and Emergency contact, as well as agree to accept the liability waiver.

 

Select Your Membership Type

After you have your profile all setup, continue by going to the Products tab purchase memberships, lockers, etc. Select the type of membership you would like to register (e.g. Full Membership, One Night Membership etc.). Click the Add to cart button and follow the payment instructions provided. https://amherst.curling.io/en/products

Amherst Curling ClubOnline payments are processed by Stripe (a 3rd party website) a receipt will be sent by email with your order details.
* In order to pay with a debit card online, it needs to have a Visa or MasterCard logo.
** Select the Cash / Cheque button to arrange payments directly with the club.

Select Your Leagues

After you have selected your membership type, you can select the “leagues” page and sign up for all the different leagues that you wish to play in.

 

The process can be completed on a smart phone but the process may be a bit harder because of the way it is configured; a computer may be easier.

Robin Keith - 2018 ACC Volunteer of the Year

Congratulations to this years Volunteer of the Year, Robin Keith.

The photo on the right is of Robin receiving his award as the ACC’s volunteer of the year. The ceremony was held April 17. Also in the photo is Deputy Mayor Sheila Christie, who presented the award to Robin.

Congratulations to this years Winners of the End of the Year Club Championship Spiel. ‎The 2018 Club Champions are Robin Keith, Denise Demone, Christopher Ford, and Geoff De Gannes. They stole the game from the Jeff Hoeg’s team in the final end.

The Amherst Club Curling Club Annual General Meeting is scheduled to take place Wednesday May 16th at 7:00 PM at the Amherst Curling Club. All members are encouraged to come.

According to a win/loss record, the schedule is made for the next game.

On the last evening, the winners of each ice will win a prize and there will be one team who has won all three games.  They will be the Club Champions.

Teams are made up by random draw.
